Partnering with Engineers

From conceptual design through commissioning, CQS helps to reduce the likelihood of change orders and streamlines project implementation schedules.

Design engineers typically design Building Automation Systems (BAS) at a high-level and create general plans and specifications that establish an overall design intent for installing contractors to follow. As BAS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), we help engineers create accurate BAS designs and specifications that reduce the likelihood of change orders and streamline project implementation schedules.

Our Master Systems Integrators (MSIs) are trained to review Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) designs and other related divisions within provided plans and specifications to identify scope gaps and variances during the design phase. We are experienced in supporting design engineers from conceptual design through commissioning on BAS requirements.

As your partner, CQS can...

Design and specify Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), BAS or Direct Digital Control (DDC) requirements, regardless of vendor
Create or review BAS/DDC control documents, sequences of operation (SOOs), plans, and specifications, as-builts, and drawings for accuracy
Ensure that industry BAS standards and installation methods are adhered to during construction
Act as ATC/BAS/DDC consultant in the planning and development of BAS systems
Conduct existing condition ATC/BAS/DDC audits and site surveys
Investigate existing ATC/BAS/DDC controls serving HVAC and mechanical equipment
Ensure complete functionality of all DDC parameters through Input/Output (I/O) point interrogation
